The St. Vincent National Lottery (NLA) announced on Thursday that starting Monday, May 26th, which is 11 days away, they will increase the number of daily draws for their two games, 3D and Play4, from two to three draws each day, Monday to Saturday.

The announcement was made by Anthony Dennie, Product Development Officer at the NLA.

The NLA has announced the new draw times.

“Our first draw will be aired at 11 a.m. in the morning. That being the case, the draw will be closed at 10 a.m. The second draw will close at 2 p.m. and will be aired at 3 p.m., while the final draw for the day will close at 8 p.m. As is the case at this point in time, it will be aired at 9 p.m”.

According to Dennie, NLA draws currently take place at 2:00 in the afternoon and by 9 p.m. at night. He, however, urges individuals to be mindful of the times that the draws are being closed so they can afford themselves the opportunity to purchase tickets.

“One of the draws I think that you, the general public, may be a little concerned about is the very first draw at 11:00, with closure time being at 10 a.m.. From the National Audit Authority standpoint, we advise that you can purchase your tickets in advance, apart from the fact that we have a significant number of agents across the island. You can purchase for multiple draws. So on the night when you’re purchasing or late in the evening when you’re purchasing for your night draw. You can certainly, at that point, purchase tickets for the morning draw or even for the midday draw; as a matter of fact, up to ten draws.”

Dennie noted that within the Windward Islands grouping, Grenada currently has four draws on a daily basis for their 3D and Play4 games. In Saint Lucia and Dominica, they do their draws three times per day.

“Within island grouping, we were ahead of the race for a pretty long time. However, they have been quite proactive in those other islands, and as a group, they have surpassed us; nevertheless, we are not going to sit idly by,” Dennie stated.
