Vincentian youth Franz George has been selected as an Ambassador for One Young World.
George who says he is passionate about youth participation in global affairs, has been engaged in a number of Youth Leadership programs in the Caribbean and here at home.
In an interview with NBC radio, George said he would be attending a Summit in Colombia from October 4th to 7th where they will be discussing a number of important issues with prominent world leaders.
He told NBC Radio that his aim is to use all the knowledge he will accumulate as a One Young World Peace Ambassador to assist with the further development of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
One Young World is a youth organisation that works along with Governments and other organisations to include the voice of the young people in global affairs.
The initiative marks International Youth Day, which this year is dedicated to celebrating young people’s contributions to conflict prevention and peace-building.
