Security Guard Charged with two counts of Wounding
On December 21, 2025, police arrested and charged Devon Hoyte, a 47-year-old Security Guard of Georgetown, with two counts of Wounding.
According to investigations, the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 47-year-old Caretaker of the same address by striking her about the body with a broomstick. He was also charged with biting the 47-year-old Caretaker on her thumb.
The offences were committed in Georgetown on December 19 and December 20, 2025.
Hoyte appeared before the Serious Offences Court on December 22, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the offences.
He was remanded into custody until January 5, 2026, for facts and sentencing.
