A tragic incident occurred at the Georgetown Public Hospital when a seven-month pregnant woman died after falling from a third-story window.

Although medical staff performed a psychiatric assessment upon her admission, they initially reported no signs of suicidal intent or psychosis.

The victim’s family has expressed significant concern regarding how a patient in distress was left unsupervised long enough to access a window. In response, the hospital has launched an internal investigation to review its current safety protocols and mental health monitoring procedures.

Recent evidence suggests the woman may have been suffering from emotional turmoil following a difficult medical diagnosis.

To address the aftermath, the facility is providing psychological support to both the grieving relatives and the hospital staff involved.
