Regional Security System (RSS) Transition
St Vincent Minister of National Security St Clair Leacock is scheduled to take over the chairmanship of the RSS Council of Ministers during a meeting in St. Lucia on March 27–28, succeeding the Prime Minister of St. Lucia.
Leacock describes the RSS as a “very big, well-organized, professionally run” entity with a critical link between the region and international security organizations, providing naval assets, sea assets, and manpower for both security and disaster response.
Recent meetings with RSS leadership, including Vice Admiral Sheldon and Deputy Mr. Rodney, focused on maintaining regional peace and citizen security.
