Ninety-six (96) new police officers officially joined the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force on January 29, 2026, following a passing-out parade and graduation ceremony for Course 39, the Police Training Academy’s graduating class of 2026.

The 96 recruits, enlisted some eight (8) months ago, completed intensive physical conditioning and technical law enforcement training designed to prepare them for operational duties across the organisation. Their addition is expected to strengthen the RSLPF’s capacity to deliver public safety services and enhance Saint Lucia’s national security response.

Prime Minister and Minister for National Security, Hon. Philip J. Pierre, noted that the graduation aligns with Government’s ongoing focus on strengthening Saint Lucia’s principal security institution through sustained resourcing and strategic investments to ensure the Force remains ready and prepared to execute its duties.

The newly graduated officers will be deployed in communities throughout Saint Lucia to serve and protect citizens and visitors alike.

The ceremony was attended by Governor General H.E. Sir Cyril Charles, Minister for Crime Prevention and Conflict Resolution Hon. Jeremiah Norbert, Commissioner of Police Verne Garde, senior leadership of the RSLPF, Permanent Secretaries, and senior government officials.

The keynote address was delivered by Dylan Norbert-Inglis, Chief Executive Officer of the Regulated Substances Authority.
