Cyril Pitterson, known by his artist name “Reality Youth,” has transformed his life from selling drugs on the streets of downtown Chicago to preaching the Gospel and creating Christ-centered music in Belize City.

Pitterson’s spiritual journey began in 1997 while he was entrenched in street life in Chicago. After a life-altering experience where he credits Jesus with saving him from laced weed, Pitterson completely dedicated his life to his faith. In a dramatic turnaround, he began ministering the Gospel on the exact same downtown Chicago streets where he had previously sold weed and crack cocaine.

Upon returning to his home in Belize, Pitterson expanded his outreach. Alongside his wife and a group of fellow brethren, he continues to conduct regular street preaching. The group is highly active in the community, notably ministering during the city’s annual Christmas parade and at various other local gatherings.

In addition to his street ministry, Pitterson has found a powerful avenue for his message through music. Operating under the name Reality Youth, he aims to create “timeless music that is Christ-centered, and empowering to Christ followers,” specifically targeting those who are experiencing spiritual warfare.

His most recent album, titled Stay on Fire for Jesus Christ, was created with a mission to do more than just entertain listeners; it is specifically designed to encourage them in their faith.

For more information on his music and community initiatives, Pitterson’s work can be found on his YouTube channel, “Gospel Artist Reality Youth,” and he can be reached via email at [email protected]
