Saint Vincent received a score of  90 out of 100  in Freedom House’s 2026  Freedom in the World  assessment, which measures political rights and civil liberties, including the electoral process, political participation, freedom of expression, the rule of law and individual rights.

The score places Saint Vincent among the highest-scoring countries in the Caribbean and globally.

Saint Vincent scored 36 out of 40 for political rights and 54 out of 60 for civil liberties.

Among the countries highlighted in the ranking were Finland (100), Barbados (94), Dominica (92), Saint Lucia (91) Saint Vincent (90) and the United States (81).

A country or territory’s Freedom in the World status depends on its aggregate Political Rights score, on a scale of 0–40, and its aggregate Civil Liberties score, on a scale of 0–60.
