The St. Vincent Girls’ High School community is plunged into profound sadness following the tragic passing of Form 5 Technical student Morica DaSilva, who died on her graduation day, June 25, 2026.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Morica was honored earlier that same day with the Celina Cordice-Primus Award for Perseverance. The school noted that this recognition was a powerful testament to the courage, determination, and immense strength of character she displayed throughout her educational journey.

Remembered for her resilience, intelligence, and warm friendship, Morica was deeply involved in the school’s creative community. She had a deep love for singing and dancing, serving as a valued member of the Loyal Hearts Ad Alta Choir. She also brought joy and creativity to her peers through her hobby of crocheting.

The school has extended its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Morica’s parents, family, classmates, and friends as they navigate this profound grief.
