A maritime incident is now under investigation after Destiny 7, which appears to be commercial fishing vessel struck the coast in the Obsidian Bay region of Mustique.

The incident was first reported to St Vincent authorities on June 28, 2026.

While visual evidence shows Destiny 7 with markings for Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, there are no major commercial or registered local fishing vessels under the name “Destiny 7” operating out of Port of Spain in Trinidad, according to maritime records.

St Vincent Times understands that all four crew members from the stranded vessel were removed by police.

While there are no official reports of the occupants’ nationality, it is understood that the individuals aboard the vessel originated from neighboring territories.

The precise factors leading to the vessel’s grounding remain under review as investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the accident.

No official explanation for the mishap has been disclosed by local police.
