Arnos Vale resident Rohan Hector has come forward to detail a long-standing struggle against an environmental issue that has plagued his family for years, citing a total lack of redress from relevant government agencies.
Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter through official channels, Hector reports that his family continues to suffer due to what he describes as the inadequacy of the institutions tasked with protecting citizens.
The situation has significantly impacted the Hector family’s quality of life and the functional use of their property.
Hector explained that he was forced to construct an indoor laundry room at the back of his yard because hanging clothes on a line became impossible under the current conditions.
Furthermore, the ongoing issue necessitated the removal of his fruit trees. He noted that these conditions have persisted for years, with the past few days being particularly taxing on his family’s well-being.
Efforts to seek help from state agencies have resulted in a frustrating cycle of referrals without results.
Hector stated that when he lodged complaints with the Planning department, he was informed that the matter was a health issue.
However, even after presenting video evidence and detailed explanations to the Health Department, no action was taken to rectify the situation.
Following the advice of a legal professional, Hector has decided to bring his story to the public eye since institutional pathways have failed to provide relief, publicizing the story might be the most effective route to ensure these agencies perform their duties.
Hector expressed a reluctance to go public but felt he had no other option left to seek the redress his family requires.
The emotional toll on the household is evident as Hector describes himself as being exhausted and unable to endure the situation any longer.
He emphasized that his primary motivation for speaking out is the ongoing suffering of his family and the hope that highlighting the perceived negligence of the agencies involved will finally lead to a permanent resolution.
