The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services issued a 72-hour weather outlook on July 25th, 2026, warning residents of a dynamic weather pattern involving multiple tropical waves and a return of Saharan dust haze.
According to Meteorological Forecaster Gregory Cato, unstable conditions associated with a tropical wave are expected to trigger pockets of showers and thunderstorms starting this evening and continuing into Sunday.
Sunday’s forecast predicts cloudy intervals with scattered showers, though conditions are expected to improve and become fair as the day progresses.
While current moderate concentrations of Saharan dust haze are expected to thin out during the day on Sunday, the relief will be short-lived. Forecasters anticipate the haze will return by late Monday and linger into Tuesday morning.
The respite from rain on Monday morning will likely be interrupted by Monday evening as a second, weaker tropical wave moves across the islands. This wave is expected to bring occasionally cloudy skies and scattered showers.
