Law enforcement and emergency agencies across Trinidad and Tobago recently entered a state of high alert following a series of coordinated bomb threats.
These eleven malicious reports targeted various magistrates’ courts, a government ministry, and a shopping plaza within a narrow forty-minute window.
While specialized police units conducted thorough sweeps and found no explosive devices, the incidents caused significant operational disruptions and building evacuations.
A notable concern emerged regarding the Fire Service, which currently lacks certified bomb technicians due to funding shortages and expired credentials.
Consequently, fire officers remained limited to crowd control and safety management while awaiting police clearance. Investigations into the source of the calls are ongoing as authorities urge the public to remain vigilant.
