On August 26, 2026, police arrested and charged Cornelius Johnny, a 71-year-old fisherman of Rose Place, with the offence of handling stolen goods.
According to investigations, the accused knew or believed the forty-nine (49) bars of Betta washing soap and seven (7) bottles of Coca-Cola to be stolen goods and dishonestly received same for his own benefit.
The offence was committed in Rose Place on August 26, 2026. Johnny appeared before the Serious Offences Court on August 27, 2026, where he pleaded guilty to the offence. He was remanded in custody until August 31, 2026, for the reading of the facts and sentencing.
