On September 6, Bonaire Day, James Finies will officially launch Partido Pueblo Progresivo (PPP), opening a new political chapter based on one clear principle: Every Inhabitant First. PPP is an inclusive political movement committed to every inhabitant of Bonaire, their rights, regardless of nationality, origin or background.

A major part of the evening will be a special exhibition documenting Finies’ 1,165-day journey in the international community.

Through photographs, documents and key milestones, the exhibition will show how Bonaire’s constitutional situation was brought before regional and international forums, including the United Nations. It will also highlight the ongoing effort to place Bonaire on the United Nations List of Non-Self-Governing Territories.

PPP will present its preliminary manifesto, focusing on the everyday challenges facing Bonaire: the cost of living, affordable housing and rent, electricity and water costs, healthcare, education, employment,

opportunities for youth, support for the elderly, good governance and sustainable economic development. For PPP, Every Inhabitant First is not simply a slogan. It is the principle that will guide its policies, priorities and decisions.
