Kingstown Town Board Issues Public Notice on Vending Cleanup Effective September 12

The Kingstown Town Board has issued an official public notice announcing that effective Saturday, September 12, 2026, street vending will no longer be permitted on Bedford Street, Bay Street, and surrounding areas, including all sidewalks.

The mandate directs all vendors operating within these areas to return to their respective market stalls or apply for a stall at a designated market. The Town Board notice lists several official market and facility locations:

  • Kingstown Central Market (Corner of Bedford & Bay Streets)
  • Downtown Vegetable Market (Bay Street)
  • Uptown Vegetable Market (Upper Bay Street)
  • Kingstown Board Car Park (Egmont Street)
  • Kingstown Cemetery (Tyrell Street)

According to the press release, this measure is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and accessible Kingstown.

The Town Board asks all vendors to comply with the mandate and make necessary arrangements prior to the Saturday effective date.
