The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation (SVGBF) is pleased to announce that Vice President Ramon Johnson will travel to the United States to complete the next phase of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP), further advancing his coaching knowledge and professional development.
Johnson has been participating in ICECP since its official virtual opening on April 14, 2026. The internationally focused program is designed to strengthen coaching expertise across areas including athlete development, sports performance, leadership and athlete well-being.
Having successfully completed the first module online, Johnson will now move onto the second phase, which includes face-to-face instruction and practical coaching experiences in the United States during September and October. The program will include sessions at the University of Delaware, as well as in New York, Philadelphia and Florida. An apprenticeship component will also provide opportunities for all participants to gain practical exposure in different sporting environments.
Johnson departs St. Vincent and the Grenadines on September 16, 2026. The SVGBF views Johnson’s participation as an important investment in the continued development of coaching standards and basketball in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The Federation looks forward to him sharing the knowledge and experience gained through the program with coaches and athletes upon his return. The SVGBF also extends its sincere appreciation to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Olympic Committee (SVGNOC) for its support in funding and facilitating Johnson’s participation.
