St. Vincent Times has gathered details regarding an early-morning shooting incident involving police officers in Ottley Hall on Monday, September 14, 2026.
According to information obtained by the newsroom, gunshots echoed through the community at approximately 2:30 a.m., prompting a response from law enforcement officers. While searching the area, officers encountered a resident of Ottley Hall along the roadway.
During the encounter, police officers discharged their firearms, striking the resident and causing a gunshot injury alongside injuries to one of his hands.
The injured man was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he received medical treatment and was subsequently discharged.
Information gathered confirms that active investigations are underway into both the initial gunfire heard in Ottley Hall and the circumstances surrounding the police officers’ decision to open fire.
