The Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA) has announced that it will host a National Consultation for Traditional Cultivators on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown. Traditional cultivators from across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are invited to attend the session.
The consultation follows a series of country-wide meetings with traditional cultivators and will center on the Strategic Integration Plan, as well as the proposed framework for incorporating traditional cultivators into the legal medicinal cannabis value chain.
Key discussion topics will include the designated roles for traditional cultivators, the MCA, and other primary stakeholders in executing the Strategic Integration Plan. The session will also allow cultivators to voice their specific support requirements and discuss the essential activities needed for full implementation.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation, Hon. Israel Bruce, will attend the event alongside representatives from the MCA, additional government bodies, and key industry stakeholders.
According to the Medicinal Cannabis Authority, this consultation is part of an ongoing effort to build a more integrated, informed, and sustainable medicinal cannabis industry across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, guided by the motto “Cultivating Strategic Partnerships for Cooperation and Trade”.
