Prime Minister Dr. The Hon. Godwin Friday led a high-level government delegation to assess the damage caused by heavy overnight rainfall between October 5th and 6th.
The inspection tour covered several heavily impacted areas, including Kingstown, the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Campden Park, and Buccament.
During the visits, the delegation evaluated physical site damage and met directly with emergency response personnel working in the field.
Prime Minister Friday and his team reaffirmed the Government’s full commitment to providing the necessary support for nationwide recovery and infrastructure restoration.
The Prime Minister was accompanied on the ground by key cabinet ministers and senior law enforcement officials:
Major Hon. St. Clair Leacock, Hon. Nigel Stephenson, Hon. Laverne King, along with Junior Simmons (Operations) and Frankie Joseph (Administration), Deputy Commissioners of Police.
