The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) has issued an emergency notice following a land slippage in Dorsetshire Hill that severed a major transmission line, disrupting water service to several residential areas.
According to the official notice released on October 8, 2026, the land movement resulted in a broken 6-inch main transmission pipeline along the Majorca System.
The resulting main break has interrupted water service in the following nine communities:
- Queens Drive
- Orange Grove
- Trigger Ridge
- Sharpes
- Green Hill
- Sharpes Dale
- Upper Dorsetshire Hill
- Upper Richmond Hill
- Murray’s Village
The utility authority confirmed that technical crews are currently conducting preliminary damage assessments on site. Restoration and pipeline repair work is scheduled to take place today, Friday, October 9th.
The CWSA expressed regret for the disruption and inconvenience caused to affected residents while emergency repairs are carried out.
