Caribbean Beat, the inflight magazine of Caribbean Airlines, has been named the Caribbean’s Best Inflight Magazine for 2026 by the international tourism organisation, the World Travel Awards.

In addition to winning the title of the Caribbean region’s Leading Inflight Magazine for 2026, Caribbean Beat has been named a nominee for the World’s Leading Inflight Magazine for the all-global travel awards to be announced at a WTA Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Tanzania in December. Voting continues until 9 November, 2026 on the World Travel Awards website (worldtravelawards.com/vote).

The regional announcement was made at a gala ceremony for the Caribbean and the Americas region at the climax of World Travel Week, at the Princess Grand Jamaica earlier in October. Caribbean Airlines itself was named the Caribbean’s Leading Airline Brand for 2026, winning this category for the 10th consecutive year.

“You’ve been voted the best in your field,” wrote the founder of World Travel Awards, Graham E. Cooke, to Caribbean Beat’s international business development manager, Evelyn Chung.

“This award reinforces the value of Caribbean Beat as a platform to showcase our region to travellers from around the world,” Evelyn noted. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring more attention to the Caribbean’s diversity, creativity, and unique stories.”

“We’ve always taken our mission — given to us first by BWIA then Caribbean Airlines — to showcase what’s special about the Caribbean in a grounded, authentic way. It’s about celebrating the beauty of our people and places, both within the region and across the diaspora. So it was a lovely surprise for that work to be recognised by readers and industry colleagues,” added Managing Editor Caroline Taylor.

The World Travel Awards (WTA), founded in 1993, aims to “acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across every key sector of the global travel, tourism and hospitality industries”. They are decided by travel professionals and media and tourism experts from around the world.

In the World’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2026 category, the magazine is up against the inflight magazines of global heavyweights like United Airlines, Air Canada, Qantas, and more. “Our World categories represent the highest level of recognition in our programme,” explained Graham Cooke.

Caribbean Beat is published for Caribbean Airlines six times a year, and is produced for the airline by MEP Caribbean Publishers in Port of Spain. The magazine is edited by Caroline Taylor and designed by Kevon Webster; with Shelly-Ann Inniss as Editorial & Design Assistant; Jacqueline Smith as Production Manager; and Evelyn Chung and Tracy Farrag as the Sales & Marketing leads.

Writing in the November edition of the magazine, Caribbean Airlines Chairman Reyna Kowlessar expresses her pride in the airline’s 10th consecutive award, and continues: “We were equally proud to see Caribbean Beat earn its first award as the Caribbean’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2026, following nomination in 2024 and 2025, affirming the magazine as a platform for sharing the stories, culture and experiences that define our region, while extending the Caribbean Airlines brand beyond the journey itself.”
