Kishroy Duke along with Michael Richards 17 and 18 years from the community of Collins and Calliaqua respectively were on Monday, October 2nd freed on three separate charges of theft and possession of firearm that contained one round of ammunition belonging to former parliamentarian Dr. Jerrol Thompson at Brighton on November 11th, 2016.
Duke and Richards were accused of entering a motor vehicle owned by Dr. Thompson and removed the weapon and hid same in some nearby bushes. The duo was at the time employed with Dr Thompson.
Their freedom came on Monday October 2nd, 2017 by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne at the Serious Offence Court after Dr. Thompson who was summoned to give evidence failed to appear to give evidence.
As a result, Senior Prosecutor Delpesche had no other alternative than to inform the Magistrate that the prosecution was not proceeding further with the matter.
