St Vincent and the Grenadines central health facility the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital received donations from the local private sector on Monday 9th October.
The Presentations were made at an appreciation ceremony that took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conference room.
The donations came from Telecommunications giant Flow, Andrews Refrigeration, Singer, Scotiabank and Guardsman.
Ministry official Bernadette Ambrose Black speaking at the handing over ceremony said that she has always been a strong proponent of utilising Corporate social responsibility as a mechanism for giving back.
Ambrose-Black said the government of St Vincent continues to view the private sector as one of the significant engines of growth and economic progress.
She said to this end private sector development goals are linked to government express intentions to increase investments both foreign and domestic, job creation and poverty reduction.
Ambrose-Black pointed out that the partnering with the private sector is one such investment, by giving to the needs of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
She noted that the investment made on Monday would help to foster social development in SVG.
