Man hospitalised following chopping in Diamonds

A close family member of Oshacko Hamilton who was involved in a chopping incident this afternoon, has refuted claims that he is dead, as reported by another media house earlier tonight.

The family member told  News784 Hamilton lost a lot of blood, however, he is very much alive up to press time.

Police told News784 that the chopping incident at Diamonds took place close to “big Jim” shop around 5 pm on Saturday 25th November.

Hamilton who is in his 30s, received a wound from a cutlass to the left side of his neck and was taken to the Georgetown Clinic, and then transferred to the MCMH.

According to police, the homicide rate stands at 39.
