Buccament Man Reaps Huge Yam

 A Buccament Bay resident and farmer had an unexpected yield, during the harvesting of his field of yams.

Lezlyn Gaymes a Buccament Farmer said the find caught him off guard, “ Its just not the normal, I still can’t believe it, but am happy”.

Gaymes who have been farming for 10 years said it is the first time that he encountered such huge yam.

Gaymes told News784 he did not measure the unexpected crop, but he intends to make a few dollars in the process.

Yam is the common name for some plant species in the genus Dioscorea that form edible tubers. Yams are perennial herbaceous vines cultivated for the consumption of their starchy tubers in many temperate and subtropical world regions.
