Taiwan Donates US 1.275M Towards Road Program, IRD And MCMH

St Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday 22nd March received US 1.275 Million Dollars or EC 3.45 Million Dollars from the Government of Taiwan.

The Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, His Excellency Baushuan Ger, presented three cheques to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves.

The monies were allocated to various projects and institutions within the State.

US$1 Million will go towards the National Road Maintenance Programme, such monies are the second instalment from the government of Taiwan.

EC$460,000 will go towards the purchase of equipment for the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

The final EC$280,000 was allocated to the Inland Revenue Department, for the purchasing of equipment and a vehicle.
