Jevorn Franklyn acquitted on a charge of assault

Jevorn Franklyn a barber from the community of Largo Height walked out of the Kingstown Magistrate Court a free man on Friday April 27th, 2018 after he was acquitted on a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm.

His acquittal came after Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett after examining the facts of the case stated that it was matter of law, logic and common sense.

Franklyn charge stemmed from an incident at the main gate at the Lodge Village Primary School on December 4th, 2017 between himself and Alicia Martin-Compton a security guard of Green Hill.

Reports are that on the date in question the defendant took his child to the school gate and proceeded to enter the school and it was during that time the security guard denied him entry because of his dress code.

And argument ensued which developed in t an altercation between both parties who inflicted blows on each other.
