Acres Agri would be ready to ship oils extracted from medicinal cannabis to Canada once the legislation is passed here in SVG.
The lawyer for the company Ali Elliot says they are engaged in discussions with Canadian pharmaceutical companies.
“These meetings and discussions are ongoing now, some have been completed, we have already established certain markets and industry partners in Canada, there are also many others who are keen on getting onboard with us”.
Elliot said that there are Agreements, MOU’s with certain companies, reputable companies which he would not disclose now since the legislation is not yet passed.
“Once we have legislation to support it, we would move from the MOU stage to actually contracting with those industry partners for export”.
Elliot further stated that they are in discussions now with a company that wants to import into Germany.
“There is a lot going on with the market outside of SVG, there is a demand for the CBD’S and we are ready to satisfy the market once the legislation is in place”.
