Prime Minister Gonsalves says he has informed the Minister of Health the Hon Luke Browne and persons at social services to do there review fairly in relation to persons under the Home Help For the Elderly Program.
Gonsalves said persons who are not doing their work properly must find other forms of work.
“You can’t have old people who depending on you and you’re not turning up on time, or when you go there you just simply turn on the tv set and sit down”.
Gonsalves sending a clear and strong message said this is not what persons are hired to do, their job description is clear.
“ Home helper for the elderly, and home help does not mean to just sit down in front of a tv an watch and at an appointed hour get up and leave, and some of them even eat the peace of food which the old people have”.
“I am talking to them; I am the author of the program, so am asking you please to shape up”.
