A tropical wave affecting the island is expected to dump over 3 inches of rain during the course of Monday.
According to a release from the metrological office at the AIA, models indicate that moderate to heavy showers can result in rainfall accumulation near 1 and ½ inches during today Monday with a further 2 inches overnight.
The met office stated that due to the passage of the wave, today’s forecast calls for Generally cloudy conditions, breezy with some scattered showers, periods of rain, and possible isolated thunderstorms
The met office is advising residents and motorists near rivers, streams and low lying areas to stay alert.
