A 4.5 million US dollar Loan Agreement was signed here yesterday.
The Tripartite Agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Petro Caribe and the Food and Agriculture Organization forms part of the Hugo Chavez Frias Action Plan for the Eradication of Poverty.
The funds would go towards the Farmers Support Company as part of the second phase of a 6-million dollar project to reduce hunger and facilitate growth in the Agricultural Sector.
Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar said the exercise also forms part of the country’s zero hunger initiative.
The Minister said his Ministry will be working closely with the Private Sector towa
