The St. Vincent and the Grenadines government has requested technical assistance from the United States authorities in investigating the murder of Antonia “Toni” Rose-Carter.

The 69 year old was murdered in Queen’s Drive on Friday June 15, 2018, her body was found bound and hanging.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves in Parliament on Thursday 28th June said that the assistance was requested due to the circumstances surrounding the murder, and the fact that Mrs. Rose-Carter has dual citizenship for St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the United States.

Gonsalves noted that when he was first told by the Police about the murder of Mrs. Rose-Carter, he could not make sense of it, and was moved to wonder if this was the start of some new type of strange killing here.

A preliminary report on the murder has been sent to US authorities.
