Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Nightra Patterson, a 75 year old retiree which occurred about 7 a.m. on the 10th October 2018 at the Questelles beach.
The deceased at the time of her death, resided at Campden Park with her husband.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Mrs. Patterson, who is a British citizen visited the Questelles Beach about 6:40 am with one of her relatives to swim.
While swimming, the deceased apparently developed some difficulty and her body was later discovered floating in the water.
Dr. Shoy, the District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and he pronounced the body dead.
A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the deceased to ascertain the cause of death.
