SVG To Abolish Harmful Tax Regimes By End Of 2018

St Vincent and the Grenadines is among jurisdictions who have agreed with the European Union to “amend or abolish” harmful tax regimes by the end of 2018.

According to a release by the EU last week, The Council has commitments from several countries to comply with “good governance” principles, part of the requirement to avoid being deemed tax havens by the bloc.

The countries agreed to adopt measures intended to either increase transparency or end regimes the EU determined were harmful.

Antigua and Barbuda, Curaçao, Dominica, Grenada have agreed to implement the automatic exchange of information by the end of 2018.
