Visitor Arrivals Surpassed Threshold Set By Tourism Ministry

A year-round service being provided by Air Canada Rogue to St Vincent and the Grenadines began on Thursday 25th October 2018.

According to data obtained from the Ministry of Tourism Air Canada between December 2017 – April 2018 at a capacity of over 90 percent.

The data shows that the threshold set by the Ministry of Tourism was 3 times higher.

Minister McKie said this means the financial responsibility arranged with Air Canada demanded little input since visitor arrivals surpassed the threshold.

Air Canada Rouge moved some 6000 passengers during it winter service December 2017 – April 2018.

Data shows that visitor arrivals by air for January to August 2018 is up by 5 percent to the destination.

The Minister noted that a second flight would begin from December to complement the winter serviced along with a second one during the summer period of 2019.

On Saturday 15th December American Airlines would begin year-round service to St Vincent.
