Argyle International Airport Celebrates Its Second Anniversary

The Argyle International Airport will today celebrate its second anniversary,  located about 5.17 miles from Kingstown, the airport the largest in the state has a runway length of  9000 ft, an expansive apron area, which facilitates aircraft ranging from twin otters to large commercial jets such as the Boeing 747.

Argyle is now being served by international carriers including, Caribbean Airlines with a direct flight from Newyork, Air Canada from Toronto and American Airlines from Maimi.

Sunwing does charters from Toronto, while liat and One Caribbean serves the airport with regional flights. Domestic flights service is provided by SVG Air and Mustique Airways.

Amerijet International began operating its 767 aircraft via AIA  in May 2017 ahead of the previously announced starting date for the new service in June 2017.

The AIA was constructed to accommodate 1.2 million travelers per year with a cargo terminal for imports and exports.

Two (2) Terminal Buildings (International and Domestic) were built to accommodate 1000 passengers per hour for arrival or departure.

Argyle Airport was built by a coalition of the willing which includes Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, and Taiwan among others.
