Sir Vincent Beache Refused The Position Of Governor-General In 2001

(By Ernesto Cooke) – Sir Vincent Beache name was at the top of the list to be Governor-General when the Unity Labour Party took office in 2001.

This revelation was made by Acting Prime Minister Sir Louis Straker on Monday 5th August, following the death of Sir Vincent in the early hours of Monday morning.

Sir Louis was at the time paying tribute to Sir Beache.
