The Acting Prime Minister Hon Montgomery Daniel has issued a national shut down at 8am this morning, all businesses, all non-essential services are asked to close at 8am and remain close until the All Clear is given.
All emergency shelters are to be activated at 8am and the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is now activated. All heads of sub-committees and key agencies are asked to report to the EOC immediately.
All residents, mariners and interests especially in the Grenadines are asked to take all the necessary precautions as the centre of Tropical Storm Karen is likely to pass over the Grenadines. We will provide an update shortly from the Meteorological Services.
