Two Vincentians Remanded To Dominica State Prison For Drugs

Two Vincentians were remanded at the Dominica State Prison after they were charged with possession of marijuana.

The men,  Jeffrey Stapleton and Alwin Lawrence of St. Vincent, were arrested after the Marine Unit intercepted an open keel boat from Antigua off the coast of Scotts Head last week Thursday. according to police PRO, Acting Inspector, Pellam Jno Baptiste, said.

According to police PRO, Acting Inspector, Pellam Jno Baptiste, the vessel contained 490 pounds of ganja.

The two along with a Jamaican  were charged with possession and possession with intent to supply an illegal drug.

They appeared in court last week Friday and they were all remanded in custody.
