The Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information will continue to strengthen its eLearning modalities to provide home-based learning for thousands of students throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The Ministry of Education will continue to be guided by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment concerning when schools can be reopened.
Learning will continue during the period of school closure and will be guided by the Ministry of Education as well as schools’ individual plans to provide online educational services to students.
All students must continue to be supported by their school to ensure participation in quality education during this COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Education is working with those schools that have not yet started their online teaching. We commend those schools who have worked assiduously to develop and implement continuous learning solutions in an expeditious manner.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Education encourages you to access up-to-date information and learning resources from our Curriculum Development Unit’s website: www.svgcdu.org. The site provides a range of curriculum resources and other information that will assist students with their learning at home.
These include interactive quizzes, worksheets, practice tests and support materials for teachers and other stakeholders. It also provides links to other relevant educational sites and learning hubs. The website resources are updated on a regular basis.
The Ministry of Education in conjunction with VC3 Television wishes to advise the public that lessons for various classes have begun to be aired on the TV channel. These lessons are also being streamed online via numerous social media platforms.
The Ministry of Education urges all stakeholders to continue to adhere to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment to ensure public safety.
