The Belmont Volcano Observatory confirms heavy lahar/mud-flow in the river systems and valleys on both sides of the La Soufriere Volcano due to heavy rain.
The SVG Meteorological Services advises that due to unstable rainy conditions, residents and motorists should be alert and exercise caution in areas near valleys, rivers and streams.
Access to the red zone is currently prohibited.
