More COVID-19 Cases Linked To Emergency Shelters In SVG

Five (5) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from two hundred and twenty-one (221) samples processed on Thursday, May 13th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 2.3%. Four (4) of the five (5)new cases are linked to emergency shelters.

Three (3) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and thirty-two(132) samples processed on Friday, May 14th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 2.3%. One (1) of the three (3) new cases is linked to emergency shelters.

Five (5) new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One hundred and fifty-four (154) cases are currently active and twelve (12) persons with COVID-19 have died. One thousand, nine hundred and forty (1940) cases of COVID-19 and seventeen hundred and seventy-four (1774) recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020.

The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
