“Due to the storm surges and high surf conditions associated with Tropical Storm Maria which are expected to affect the island by this evening, the Ministry of Education, Reconciliation and Ecclesiastical Affairs and the National Emergency Management Organization, NEMO wish to advise parents/guardians of children who travel by sea (boat) to keep them at home on Monday September 18th, and until such time as further advised by the relevant authorities.
Parents/guardians of children who travel to and from Bequia, Mayreau, and Union Island are especially asked to take note.”
