The Grenada Tourism Authority is kicking off the new year with the launch of year-round services in conjunction with Air Canada, a “significant milestone” in increasing access to the attractive tri-island state of Grenada.
Travellers will now enjoy continuous service from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Maurice Bishop International (GND), ending a four-year interruption.
Air Canada will launch a new summer service once a week, on Saturdays, beginning April 6th, 2024 and running through October 31st, 2024.
The nonstop flights will depart Toronto’s Pearson at 9:35 a.m. and arrive in Grenada at 3:00 p.m. The return leg from Grenada will depart at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Toronto at 9:40 p.m.
“We are excited to introduce year-round services in partnership with Air Canada, providing Canadian travellers with more access to the unspoiled beauty of Grenada,” commented Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, in a press statement. “This development not only demonstrates our dedication to positioning Grenada as a great vacation destination, but it also answers the growing demand for tourism in our country. The reintroduction of Air Canada’s year-round direct service to Grenada represents a positive step in enhancing air transport links between the airline and our country, marking a watershed moment in solidifying the ties that bind our two regions.”
Travellers can book now for a relaxed holiday or to attend some of the islands’ most popular events, such as the annual Chocolate Festival in May and Spicemas in August, as well as the opening of two new luxury hotels: Silversands Beach House and Six Senses La Sagesse.
