Local authorities have officially launched a homicide investigation into the latest killing in St. Vincent, which has brought the national murder toll to 30.
The deceased has been identified as Akeem Ferdinand alias “Chaka Bom,” a resident of Gurley Hill, Rockies.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was shot at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the residence where he lived.
Information obtained indicates that the deceased had been released from prison less than two weeks ago.
As of now, the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting remain unclear. Police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
