Alaska Airlines has announced that it will enhance its international route network by adding two new routes to the Bahamas to meet the demand for leisure travel. The airline will also expand its service to Mexico by introducing new routes between Las Vegas, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta.

While summer has just begun, Alaska Airlines is already planning its upcoming winter schedules. The airline will add its first-ever nonstop flights to the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in mid-December 2023.
According to the carrier, there will be four weekly flights between Nassau and Los Angeles, utilizing Alaska’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. The inaugural service for this route is scheduled to depart on December 15, with flights scheduled to operate until April 9, 2024.
Meanwhile, flights between Nassau and Seattle will be operated three times per week, also utilizing Alaska’s fleet of Boeing 737 jets. The airline currently has 216 737s in its fleet, including 79 737-900ERs, 61 737-800s, 50 737 MAX 9s, 14 737-700s, and 12 737-900 jets.
