Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced that general elections will be held in Antigua and Barbuda on January 18, 2023.
The Twin Islands’ general elections are constitutionally due in March 2023, but opposition parties and residents have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the date when the country will once again go to the polls for months.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne made the announcement on Monday night at the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s candidate launch.
He also stated that the Governor General will issue the writ of election on Tuesday, and that nomination day will be on December 28.
