Antigua govt to cover CSEC fees for all students

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced that once the major expansion of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands campus is complete, tuition will be free for all Antiguan and Barbudan students pursuing first-degree programs.

The Prime Minister also announced that starting in 2026, the government will cover the cost of Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination fees for all students in the nation’s public and private schools, and waive tuition fees at the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS).

These moves are intended to alleviate a significant financial burden on families and ensure every student has the opportunity to sit these critical exams.
