Argyle Airport Adds 263 Jobs To SVG Economy

The Argyle international airport has added some 263 jobs to the economy of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The former E.T Joshua airport whilst it was in operation employed some 110 persons. The Argyle International Airport was open on February 14th, 2017.

The largest group of persons employed at the AIA fall under Security/ Aviation with some 117 employees.

Other areas with substantial numbers include Ground Handling 35, Civil maintenance 14, Operation 25, and Electrical dept with 14.

Argyle International Airport (AIA) is the newest gateway to St. Vincent & the Grenadines and the newest International Airport in the Eastern Caribbean following the commencement of Operations in February 2017.

The newly built Argyle International Airport (AIA) boasts a 9000 ft. long runway and an expansive apron area, which facilitates aircraft ranging from twin otters to large commercial jets such as the Boeing 747.
